Sittercity.com is a community and marketplace for child care services
Winnie.com is a marketplace for child care services that allows searching by hours including evening, weekend and overnight.
Care.com maintains a directory of child care providers that has separate lists of providers offering night and overnight child care. If you create a login, you can also filter the main list for operating hours.
Directories provided by state and federal government agencies can be a helpful resource:
The Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) maintains a searchable database of licenced day care providers. The database shows for each licensed business if they offer night child care and if so what their capacity is.
As of January 2021 there were 2,300 licensed child care providers in Chicago, of which 1,400 claimed a night capacity. Of these, 900 claimed a day capacity of ten or more, and 200 of ten or more.
Other resources
https://www.findhelp.org/ has 148 child care listings in or near Chicago, but the directory doesn’t filter for programs that have night child care.
ExceleRate Illinois maintains a directory of early learning programs. Although the directly doesn’t allow filtering by operating hours, ExceleRate staff can provide customized referrals.
